Music City USA didn’t disappoint. I’m not gonna lie, I was a bit reluctant and had low expectations of the scene, as I’m not much of a fan of country music. But I had high expectations of the wonderful company: My friend Jen and her (at the time) three adorable kids. (She and Jay have had one more since!)

Don’t be dumb like me: Nashville is FANTASTIC. From the food scene, to the music scene (it’s not all country, folks), to the scene scene, it’s a chic, sexy city. Whether you’re looking to have a fun getaway with the pals (gals or fellas alike), or a quick getaway with your love, I absolutely recommend it!
The highlights…
Pinewood Social. One of my fellow high school alums is quite the chef and restauranteur in Nashville. I was excited to check out this fun, eclectic place. With a massive “flirty bar” in the middle, surrounded by swanky, lounge-like seats, even a bowling alley, this place was stellar. Go here. Heck, check out anything from Josh Habiger.
Two Bits. I really loved this place. Play old school (and new school) board games and even enjoy some of your old arcade games. Complete with higher-end bar food and libations, what’s not to love? (Besides the alcohol-infused milkshakes?) It’s in a fun, up and coming part of the city.
Flying Saucer Draught Emporium. The food was so-so, but the 100+ options of beer selection is en pointe. Go, just for the beer. And if you get buzzed enough, you’ll more than enjoy the food. I’m just a bougie bitch sometimes when it comes to food. If your even 1% hipster, you’ll all the more love this place.
I’m serious when I say GO TO NASHVILLE. It’s affordable to get to, affordable to stay at, and the food, music, and people will make it all the more enjoyable.
